the night is dark
and the streets are quiet
no noise is heard
when silence breaks through our hymn of longing
the sharktown boys reign
reign in the streets of this town
where at night all the light are out
while we watch out in the darkness
'cause midnight souls never sleep at night
with frowning faces
narrow eyes
we blow our cigarette smoke
into the sky
the world turns faster
our hearts beat faster
the sharks are out to reign
these streets tonight
all of those great memories
they will remain
even if everything else dies
the sharktown boys reign
the world turns faster
our hearts beat faster
the sharks are out to reign
these streets tonight
the world turns faster
our hearts beat faster
the sharks are out to reign
these streets tonight

I've been jamming out to this album since 2015. It's awesome, not a bad track. Favorites are Pure, Your Sweetness, Absolution, and Supersonic Home. artaxdies

One of my favorite albums of all time. Turnover really hit a sound here that resonates with me deeply, and I often find myself coming back to this record and falling in love with it all over again. The drums and bass are greatly underrated on this album, creating their own unique melodies that fit within the song and create something new rather than just follow the guitars. Nothing beats the somehow joyful and somber sound of this record. Rob Carpenter
